Finally!

Our adoption of Raimonds was final on October 7. We have one more trip to Latvia for our Embassy Appointment to get all Raimonds’ new records and citizenship paperwork. Hopefully I will be able to post pictures soon. Thank you for all your prayers and support.

If you are interested in hosting a child for Christmas this year, please visit www.newhorizonsforchildren.org., for information and to see pictures and profiles of the children. There is a huge need for host families this year. The deadline is November 1st. There is absolutely no obligation to adopt a child/children that you host. Hosting gives a child the opportunity to experience real family life for the holidays. Raimonds is 13 and had never received a Christmas gift until the Christmas he spent with our family.

Sincerely,

Sue Becker

Thank you for sharing your experience with adopting Raimond. We have been very interested, as we have 2 birth children + 2 adopted, and are seeking the Lord to find out whether we are 'done' yet or not. I am surprised to see that yet another trip to Latvia is required of you... is this typical with New Horizons adoptions? And until this trip is made, you can't publicize photos of him? Could you elaborate on the reasons, or am I misunderstanding? Thank you for pursuing your wonderful ministry to God's glory!

Sue, I receive your newsletters regularly and purchase from Bread Beckers also. Have referred many friends and family members to you. I had no idea you were adopting. We are in the LONG process of adopting a 14 year old girl from Haiti. So sorry we do not have the opportunity of bringing her here for a visit, not until the adoption is final. Really hard. I am so happy for you that your adoption is complete. Blessings, Betty Gallagher
